FAQ
Questions, and straight answers.
Everything people ask before the app is even out. If yours is not here, the Discord answers faster than an email does.
The app
- What is Queuepid?
- A dating app where your profile is your games. What you play, what you have beaten, the rank you reached: compatibility is worked out from that, so a conversation has a subject before the first message.
- When does it come out?
- September 2026, on iOS and Android. The Discord is already open, and the beta is handed out there before anywhere else.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Profile, queue, matches and messages all work without paying. Queuepid Gold is an optional subscription that lifts the limits, and none of it is needed to meet someone.
- Who is it for?
- Anyone 18 or over who plays. There is no level to reach and no correct kind of game: a profile built on Animal Crossing works exactly like one built on Counter-Strike.
- How is it different from other dating apps?
- Other apps give you a text field and hope you write something good. Queuepid gives you the real catalogue, your ranks and your shelf, and matches people on that. The profile stops being a paragraph about yourself and becomes the thing you actually spend your evenings on.
Your profile and your games
- How do I add my games?
- You search the catalogue and add them. Ten favourites sit on your card, and you can carry a rank on up to sixty games. The catalogue comes from IGDB, so what you play is in there, including the one nobody has heard of.
- What is the shelf?
- Four statuses, on the radar, backlog, playing and beaten, with your score out of ten and your verdict. It is public, and it is the part of the app worth opening when nobody has matched you yet.
- How do ranks work?
- Nine tiers, with the names and the colours the games themselves use. Radiant, Global Elite, Supersonic Legend: they sit on the card, game by game, before a word is exchanged.
- Do you check the ranks?
- No. Ranks and shelves are declarative, and Queuepid never connects to your Steam, Riot or PlayStation account. Inflating a rank mostly gets you matched with people you have nothing to play with.
Matching
- How is the compatibility score worked out?
- Games weigh the most, then platforms, genres, languages and how you play. The covers you have in common are listed under the number, so the score can be checked instead of believed.
- Can I filter the queue?
- By game, by platform, by distance, by age range and by genre. Those are the filters that change who you meet. The rest is noise, and we would rather not add it. Age and gender are free, the others are part of Queuepid Gold.
- Can I message someone without matching?
- Not on the free version, where a conversation opens once you have both liked each other. Writing first without waiting for a match is one of the Queuepid Gold features.
Money, safety and data
- What does Queuepid Gold cost?
- $19.99 a month, $199.99 a year, or $359.99 once and for all. Apple and Google handle the billing, and a subscription is cancelled in their settings, never inside the app.
- What is a creator code?
- Gaming creators each have their own code. You type it at the bottom of the subscription page in the app and pay 30% less: $13.99 a month for the first three months, $139.99 for the first year, or $250 for life. The creator earns a share of what we collect. If you make content and want your own code, write to [email protected].
- Are profiles verified?
- Selfie verification is optional and checked by a human, not by a model. It says the photos are of the same person. It does not certify an identity, and nothing replaces picking a public place for a first meeting.
- Do you sell my data?
- No. Nothing is sold, rented or handed to data brokers or advertisers, and your photos are never reused to promote anything, ours included. The privacy policy lists what is collected, why, and how long it is kept.
- How do I delete my account?
- In the app: Settings, then Delete my account. It is immediate and final, and you never have to write to anyone to get it done.
Before launch
- How do I get in early?
- Through the Discord. The closed beta goes out there first, and what the queue asks for the most gets built before the rest.
- What happens when it opens?
- Everyone who joins during launch week gets Queuepid Gold free for two weeks. If Discord is not your thing, leave your address on the home page: one message, the day it opens, and nothing else ever.
